M Family Moments – March 2023

On October 25, 2013 Heather Serafin was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). An average of 250 children are diagnosed per year with this disease that has nearly a 0% chance of survival. The problem starts with lack of funding. Less than 4% of the government research dollars goes to Pediatric Cancers. For Heather, that was not enough. So the H Life was founded to help change things.

The H Life began as a charitable brand to make a difference for families, research and awareness. Heather was The H Life’s biggest cheerleader. This intense fighter never lost faith or hope. October 25, 2015 Heather passed away but the H Life continues to impact families battling DIPG. Including our sweet Eli Paine.

The Paine Family has partnered with the H Life to create a “Say My Name” box in Eli’s memory that will contribute 20% to the M Family Foundation. Eli’s Box has his art work on a tumbler, a puzzle, a honey bear, Chocolate Coconut Coffee and Eli’s Biscuit Tea (a personalize blend of hibiscus that Eli called “biscuits”).

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to celebrate Eli and support the M Family Foundation!

On March 9th…9 months from diagnosis, 7 months post radiation, and 4 months post the trial procedure. Vivian’s tumor (still barely noticeable) is considered stable! This is truly incredible news! She will be traveling back to DC in 4 weeks for another MRI so please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
