PRESS RELEASE: MFF Announces 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status to the M Family Foundation
M Family Foundation – To raise awareness, increase education and provide financial support for the women and children fighting ovarian cancer and pediatric cancer.
The M Family Foundation is proud to announce it is officially a nonprofit organization with tax-exempt status under the 501(c)(3) United States Internal Revenue Code. The granting of a nonprofit status to the M Family Foundation is a major milestone for the growing organization, based in Celebration, Florida. The M Family Foundation is now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, that provide financial, medical and educational support for those battling pediatric cancer and ovarian cancer.
“Obtaining the 501(c)(3) status enables MFF to provide children fighting pediatric cancer and women fighting ovarian cancer support on a much larger platform. We created this foundation as a family after tragically losing family members and close friends to these two deadly diseases. We knew this was the push from a higher power to step up and provide direct support to the community around us. “, Kelly McCarthy, MFF Founder. “I am so grateful for all of the dedicated efforts from all of our volunteers, team members, family, friends, and the community around us. Early detection is key to saving lives and together; we are starting the conversations about the signs and symptoms of two of the deadliest cancers affecting women and children.
